We will start with an introduction to Hong Kong current issues, year 2047 considerations, legal rights and common law. Then we will move into an explanation of the tax system in regard to residents, non residents, assets, estates and DTA's. The presentation will review Hong Kong based structures and interplay with other jurisdictions and tax law for assets, business and family succession and retirement.
We will include some case studies of structuring for multi-jurisdictional families and multi-jurisdictional assets.

She has 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry; the past 25 years of which have been in Hong Kong.
She has extensive expertise in the provision of wealth management and wealth preservation services and deep experience in designing solutions, and providing administration and compliance for complex corporate, family office and individual client situations with assets and beneficiaries across multiple jurisdictions.
Solutions have included trusts, SPV structures, family/business/estate structuring, collective investment schemes, employee share plans, business succession, charities, and retirement schemes.
Carolyn is past Chair of the Hong Kong Trustees’ Association (HKTA) and remains on the executive board. She is a fellow of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute. She has a Bachelor of Business degree, an MBA and a Master of Business Law. Carolyn lectures for various industry courses in Hong Kong covering trusts, foundations, broader succession planning vehicles and compliance.
